Tucked away in the Ore Mountains just outside Chomutov, the Kamenička Reservoir is a striking piece of engineering history hidden among the forests. Its curved stone dam, over a century old, still holds back a small lake that quietly supplies drinking water to the region.

The surrounding valley is peaceful and wooded, with the Kamenička stream flowing gently below the dam. In summer the reservoir's surface reflects the surrounding greenery, autumn brings golden hillsides, and winter transforms the whole area into a quiet, frosty retreat. It's a lovely spot for a calm forest walk, even though the dam itself and its protective zone are off-limits to visitors.
