A small, hidden dam tucked away in the forests of the Ore Mountains, sitting quietly within the Jezerka National Nature Reserve. This is a spot for travelers who crave stillness rather than crowds - a stone dam from the early 20th century and a modest reservoir blend so naturally into the valley between the hills of Jezeří (707 m) and Jedlová (853 m) that you'd hardly guess it was built by human hands.

The surroundings feel wild and picturesque - dense woodland, the Vesnický stream, and the reserve's damp microclimate create an atmosphere cut off from the everyday world. In spring and summer the area is lush and green, in autumn the forests of the Krušné hory turn warm shades of gold and red, and in winter it becomes especially quiet, sometimes blanketed in snow. This is a place for a peaceful walk rather than a strenuous climb.

The dam was built between 1902 and 1904 by Mořic of Lobkowicz on his own estate and was originally named after him - he never saw it completed, as he died the year before its opening.
