The Steinbach Nature Reserve is a rich mosaic of beech forests, wetland alder woods and mountain hay meadows, set along the German-Czech border in the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge). It's a place for those seeking peace, wilderness and a landscape shaped mostly by nature itself.

The reserve consists of two sections stretching along the Steinbach stream and nearby Rothenbach, surrounded by the rolling hills and valleys typical of the Ore Mountains. In spring and summer, the mountain meadows burst into bloom and the beech forests glow green; in autumn, golden hues take over, while winter often brings snow and mist that lend the area a quiet, almost mystical mood. With few crowds, it's an excellent spot to reconnect with nature.
