Hradišťanská louka is a small nature reserve perched on the flat summit plateau of Hradišťany hill, right in the heart of the České středohoří (Central Bohemian Uplands). Once known as the 'orchid meadow', it still holds a fascinating mix of rare flora and Bronze Age history.

This is a dry, sub-montane meadow spread across the hilltop, surrounded by forest, with stone ramparts left behind by a Knovíz culture hillfort dating back roughly 3,000 years. In summer the meadow bursts with colour - martagon lily, globeflower and mountain arnica among the highlights. In quieter seasons, the plateau offers a peaceful escape and open views over the rolling hills of the Uplands. It's a spot for those who enjoy nature, silence and a touch of ancient mystery underfoot.

Interesting fact: the stone ramparts scattered across the meadow are remnants of a hillfort from around 1200-1000 BC, proof that people valued this hilltop long before hikers did.
