Świstowy Grzbiet is a rugged side ridge in the Slovak part of the High Tatras, perfect for hikers who crave solitude far from crowded trails. This is a place for those seeking wild, untouched mountain scenery among rocky peaks and deep glacial valleys.

The ridge extends southeast from the summit of Pośredni Świstowy Szczyt, separating Dzika Kotlina and Kotlina pod Rohatką to the southwest from Pustá Kotlina and Zbójnicka Równa to the northeast and east. At its eastern foothills lie two scenic groups of tarns — Puste Stawy and Zbójnickie Stawy — part of the Staroleśne Stawy scattered throughout the Starolesná Valley. The landscape is stark and rocky, with numerous minor summits, notches, and towers forming a jagged ridgeline. In summer, the exposed slopes offer sweeping views of neighboring valleys, while in winter the terrain becomes demanding and hazardous due to difficult route-finding and avalanche risk.
