Mała Kończysta is one of the lesser-known summits of the Slovak High Tatras, tucked away in the Kończysta Ridge, far from marked tourist trails. It's a destination for those seeking a genuine mountaineering adventure rather than an easy signposted walk.

The peak has two summits – a northern one (2450 m) and a southern one, separated by the Szczerbina notch. Its massif also hides smaller towers: Drąg, Turnia nad Drągiem and Igły nad Drągiem. The surrounding views stretch over the Batyżowiecka Valley and Złomiska Valley – a raw, rocky landscape that becomes a serious winter mountaineering challenge. In summer it reveals its stony character, and a sense of solitude and silence accompanies every step.

The first recorded summer ascent took place in 1905, while the first winter ascent wasn't achieved until 1953, at night – a fitting testament to the mountain's wild character.
