Komáří hůrka (809 m a.s.l.) is one of the most distinctive summits in the Ore Mountains, easily recognisable by the tower of the hotel sitting right at the top. It is a place where mountain adventure meets comfort — you can reach the peak on foot or take a chairlift from the nearby pilgrimage town of Bohosudov.

The summit has a rounded top with asymmetric slopes and weathered rock formations scattered across the hillside. From the Ore Mountains ridge you get sweeping views over the Bohemian lowlands on one side and into Germany on the other. The mood here shifts beautifully with the seasons — busy with families in summer, golden and quiet in autumn, and snow-covered in winter for those who enjoy a frosty mountain atmosphere.

Beneath the hillside lie numerous old mine shafts and adits, and traces of past mining activity are visible all over the slopes. A bell tower once stood at the summit to signal the start and end of miners' working shifts — a reminder that this peaceful hilltop once hummed with industrial life.
