Holubník is the highest point of the Podještědská pahorkatina hills in the Liberec Region, a quiet forested summit perfect for hikers who enjoy easy, peaceful walks rather than dramatic peaks. It won't overwhelm you with cliffs or panoramic views, but its calm character and dense forest make it a rewarding little escape.

The summit forms a low, indistinct dome built of quartz sandstone, sitting on the slope of the Ještěd ridge. To the east, it is encircled by the valley of the Ploučnice river, which rises further to the northeast near Kyselinčí kopec. The hill is covered mostly with coniferous forest, offering cool shade in summer and a hushed, misty atmosphere in autumn and winter.

How to reach the summit

• Hoření Paseky (accessible by car) - yellow trail heading northwest, passing the Jeřmanská skála rock overhang, to the U Pruského kříže junction, easy route
• From U Pruského kříže junction - red trail continuing south over Holubník itself, easy to moderate route
