Drąg is a striking rock tower in the Kończysta Ridge, in the Slovak High Tatras, that will capture the imagination of anyone drawn to alpine climbing away from the crowds. This is not a spot for casual hikers looking for an easy stroll, but for those who appreciate the raw wildness of high-mountain terrain.

The surroundings of Drąg are classic High Tatras scenery - steep walls, sharp ridgelines and deep valleys on either side. In summer the tower stands proud against the blue sky, while in winter it is coated in snow and ice, making the ascent considerably harder and demanding real mountaineering experience. Views from here take in the neighboring peaks of the Kończysta Ridge and the Złomisk and Batyżowiecka valleys stretching out below.

• From Złomisk Valley - no marked trail, the approach is somewhat easier, good fitness and climbing experience required
• From Batyżowiecka Valley - no marked trail, a more difficult approach variant

• No marked tourist trails lead to the summit - accessible only to climbers (taternicy)
• Reaching the top requires climbing skills and proper preparation

The tower's name comes from the shape of a nearby, smaller rock formation from which it inherited its name. The first tourist ascent was made in summer 1905, while the first winter ascent followed nearly half a century later, in 1953.
