Bukovský grúň (1230 m) is a quiet, partly forested peak in the Orava Beskids, tucked into a side ridge branching off from the Malá Babia hora massif. There's no marked trail to the top, which means this is a spot for hikers who enjoy a bit of off-path adventure and don't mind sharing the summit with no one but the forest.

The surrounding landscape is classic Orava countryside — mixed forests, clearings, and streams like the Vonžovec and Bystrá flowing down toward the Polhoranka river. From open spots without tall vegetation, the views stretch out across the Orava, Silesian and Żywiec Beskids, and on clear days you can spot the Malá and Veľká Fatra, Oravská Magura, the Chočské and Skorušinské hills, and even the Low and West Tatras. In winter the slopes turn quiet and snow-covered, while summer brings lush green forest cover and the gentle sound of mountain streams.
