Hidden on a hill called Diłok in the Bieszczady Mountains, the roofless ruins of an old Greek Catholic church stand as a haunting reminder of the vanished village of Krywe. This is one of the most evocative abandoned sites in the region, where nature has slowly reclaimed what was once a thriving community.

The atmosphere here is quiet and reflective - ancient lime and ash trees surround the crumbling stone walls, and nearby you can still find the remains of a parish cemetery with a few surviving gravestones. In summer the greenery softens the ruins, autumn brings golden light through the old trees, and winter snow gives the site an eerie, timeless beauty. It's a rewarding stop for anyone exploring the Bieszczady's borderland history.

Interesting fact: on 3 August 2011, a wedding took place within these ruins - the only two residents of Krywe at the time, Antonina and Stanisław Majsterek, were married here, briefly bringing life back to the abandoned village.
