Woliborska Pass is one of the most distinctive mountain saddles in the Sowie Mountains (Góry Sowie), sitting at 711 metres above sea level. Squeezed between the summits of Kobylec (766 m) and Zległe (737 m), this narrow, clearly defined notch is a natural crossroads for hikers exploring the Central Sudetes.

The pass is wrapped in lower-montane mixed forest, where spruce and beech are the dominant trees. In summer the canopy keeps the trails cool and shaded; in autumn the beeches turn spectacular shades of gold and copper. Winter brings a wilder face — the steep approaches become icy and treacherous, and the road crossing the pass is frequently impassable, leaving the forest eerily quiet. Whatever the season, there is a raw, unspoiled quality to this corner of the Sowie Mountains that rewards those who make the effort to visit.

• From Nowa Ruda or Bielawa — via regional road 384; a car park is available directly at the pass.
• From Brodziszów — a marked hiking trail leads through the pass towards Nowa Ruda.

• A car park and a covered picnic shelter are available at the pass — a handy rest stop on longer ridge walks.
• Road 384 can be dangerous and often closed in winter — check conditions before driving.
• The pass is crossed by the Main Sudeten Trail (GSS) and the long-distance European footpath E3, linking Wielka Sowa with Srebrna Góra.

Woliborska Pass lies within the Sowie Mountains Landscape Park, and its gneis bedrock is a geological reminder of the ancient forces that shaped these mountains hundreds of millions of years ago.
