The Sowie Mountains are one of the most intriguing ranges in the Central Sudetes — built from some of the oldest rocks in all of Europe, they offer dense spruce forests, rocky ridgelines, and sweeping views that linger long after you leave. The range stretches roughly 26 km between the Bystrzyca River valley and Srebrna Pass. The landscape shifts from gently rounded forested ridges to open highland meadows with panoramic views, punctuated by striking gneiss rock formations near the summits. In summer the air smells of resin and pine; in autumn the slopes ignite in gold and amber — every season brings its own mood here.
