Malinowa is a dome-shaped peak deep in the Sowie Mountains, offering the hush of dense spruce forest and the quiet charm of ancient rocky slopes. This is a spot for hikers who crave solitude rather than crowds, while still wanting a genuine taste of Sudeten wandering.

The mountain rises on the eastern part of the main Sowie Mountains ridge, between the Gołębia Pass and the Szeroka Pass. Its steep slopes and long, narrow, barely defined summit ridge make climbing it feel more like a forest journey than reaching a sharp peak. In summer, the spruce forest mixed with beech offers pleasant shade; in autumn the colors are lovely, and in winter the silence and snow create a truly peaceful atmosphere. On the northwestern slope, at 750-800 m, look out for the Wysokie Skałki (High Rocks) — a cluster of gneiss rock formations that adds a nice geological highlight to the walk.

How to reach the summit

• Przełęcz Srebrna (Srebrna Pass) — trail leading to Przełęcz Woliborska, moderately demanding route, suitable for intermediate hikers
• A section of the Main Sudeten Trail — runs along the ridge through the entire Sowie Mountains, ideal for those planning a longer ridge trek
