The Regional Museum in Chomutov is a fascinating journey through the history of the Ore Mountains region, spread across three connected historic buildings right in the heart of town. A Gothic church, a Renaissance town hall and a former Jesuit grammar school together form a unique cultural complex full of surprises.

Walking through the museum feels like stepping between centuries - from medieval vaulted cellars to the lapidarium in the so-called Monks Courtyard, where stone sculptures rest among quiet greenery. In winter the halls come alive with Christmas exhibitions and Advent concerts, while summer brings day camps for children. The tall tower known as the Astronomical Tower is visible from afar and gives the complex its distinctive silhouette.
