The Porcelain Museum in Wałbrzych is a surprising find in a city best known for its mining history. It makes a perfect indoor stop for a day when the weather in the Wałbrzych Mountains isn't ideal for hiking.

The museum is housed in the elegant Alberti Palace, whose interiors were redesigned after a 2015 renovation. Some rooms have been arranged in the style of an old bourgeois residence, featuring furniture, paintings, and decorative arts from the museum's own collections. The atmosphere is intimate and refined, letting visitors sense the spirit of old Wałbrzych - a city that was once a major porcelain production hub. It's a great break from mountain trails, especially in autumn and winter.
