Hidden in the forests near Csákányospuszta, in the heart of the Vértes Hills, lie the romantic ruins of a medieval church. This spot blends history with legend - local tradition holds that King Béla IV granted this land to Uz warriors as thanks for saving him after the battle of Muhi against the Mongols.

The area has a distinctive microclimate - sunlight never reaches many of its valleys, even in winter. Around it rise the Vértes hills, reaching about 400 m, with the range's highest point, Nagy-Csákány (487 m), located nearby. The Csákány stream flows through the settlement, and the Országos Kéktúra (National Blue Trail) crosses through here too.

Archaeological excavations here uncovered not only the chapel ruins but the remains of the entire former village of Csákányosegyháza, including a cemetery where at least 50 bodies were found.
