Blansko Castle ruins sit atop a 545-metre hill northeast of Ústí nad Labem, offering hikers a rewarding mix of medieval history, dramatic scenery, and a quirky local legend about an evil giant. Though little more than fragments remain, the site retains a special charm that draws in curious walkers.

From the summit, you get excellent views especially to the south and southwest, over the valley of the Ryjický stream and toward the Elbe River. The terrain around the ruins is wooded and rocky, making for a pleasant walk in any season — lush greenery in summer, golden foliage in autumn, and open, far-reaching views in winter once the leaves have fallen.
