Barania Przełęcz (Baranie sedlo) is a sharply cut mountain pass sitting at 2,389–2,393 m above sea level, tucked between the massifs of Spiska Grzęda and Baranie Rohy in the Slovak High Tatras. It is the kind of place that rewards adventurous hikers with raw, unspoiled mountain scenery and serves as the most popular gateway to the Baranie Rohy summit.

The views from the pass are relatively limited but genuinely captivating — a rugged, rocky High Tatras landscape closes in around you, with the rocky hump known as Barania Mních rising dramatically just above to the northwest. The pass marks the lowest point of a long lateral ridge stretching from Baranie Rohy all the way to Lomnický štít. In winter, the terrain becomes truly alpine in character, serious and unforgiving.

Long before tourists discovered this pass, local chamois herders used it as a natural crossing between Kežmarská and Malá Studená dolina valleys — a quiet piece of living mountain history beneath your boots.
