Racek is a small but charming water reservoir in Rumburk that surprises visitors with its rich wildlife and peaceful atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for a relaxed afternoon by the water or some quiet birdwatching in a natural wetland setting.

The pond covers roughly 3.5 hectares, with 227 m of shoreline and a maximum depth of 3.2 m. The left side of the banks is intentionally left as marshland, giving the area a wild, untamed feel. A cottage settlement sits nearby, so summers bring a livelier holiday atmosphere, while outside the season the pond and surrounding wetlands offer a calm setting for a walk or some nature watching.

Interestingly, before its renovation in 2001-2002, the smooth newt was once abundant around the pond, and the reservoir was also expanded at that time with an additional pond called Tůň.
