Potkoš is a small artificial lake tucked beneath the hill of Plasina, near Fužine in the Gorski Kotar region. It is the youngest and smallest of the area's man-made lakes, yet its quiet, intimate character and seamless blend with the mountain scenery make it a real find for those who love calm natural spots.
Unlike the popular Lake Bajer, Potkoš remains peaceful and far less crowded, offering a perfect escape for visitors seeking solitude. Surrounded by the forests and hills typical of Gorski Kotar, the lake changes character with the seasons - lush green reflections in spring and summer, golden woodland hues in autumn. The lake was originally created as a natural spawning ground for trout, whose survival in Lake Bajer was threatened by pike.
