Rešovské vodopády is one of the most enchanting natural spots in the Czech Moravian-Silesian Region — a rugged rock canyon carved by the Huntava river, complete with tumbling waterfalls and ancient forest. It holds the status of a National Nature Reserve, protecting both its dramatic geology and rare wildlife.

The canyon has a wonderfully untamed feel at any time of year. In spring, snowmelt swells the Huntava and the falls roar with impressive force, while the slopes burst into vivid green. Summer brings cool shade beneath old-growth trees and mossy boulders — a perfect escape from the heat. Autumn paints the natural beech and mixed forest stands in deep golds and russets, making for truly atmospheric walking. The rocky walls, scree slopes and ancient vegetation give the whole place a wild, almost fairy-tale quality.

The site has been under nature protection since 1966, making it one of the oldest protected areas in Opavian Silesia. At dusk, keep an eye out for rare bats that roost in the canyon's rocky crevices — a truly special encounter in this already magical place.
