Czerniańskie Lake, also known as the Czerniański Reservoir or Black Lake, is a peaceful reservoir tucked into the Silesian Beskids, formed where the Biała and Czarna Wisełka streams meet. It's a quiet spot that rewards visitors with calm water, forested slopes and a genuine sense of escape.

The dark, almost black water gives the lake its name and creates a striking contrast with the green hillsides around it. This isn't a crowded tourist hotspot — it's the kind of place you visit for stillness and scenery. In summer the surface mirrors the surrounding hills, autumn brings rich forest colours, and winter blankets everything in snow and silence. Nearby rises Barania Góra, one of the region's best-known peaks, and the so-called Zameczek — a residence belonging to the President of Poland — adds an intriguing historical layer to the area.

It makes a great starting point for a hike up Barania Góra, and a chance to glimpse the presidential residence tucked away among the forests by the water.
