Jenői Lake is a small, charming body of water tucked away near Diósjenő in the Börzsöny mountains of Hungary. If you're after a quiet escape surrounded by nature, this hidden gem is well worth a visit.

The lake was formed by damming the Jenői stream, creating two reservoirs — this being the first one along the flow. Surrounded by the gentle hills and forests of the Börzsöny range, the setting feels peaceful and intimate. The water stays cold year-round, so swimming isn't really an option, but the calm atmosphere makes it a lovely spot for a relaxing walk, especially in spring and autumn when the surrounding woodland bursts into color.
