The Wildkarspitze is a gentle, scenic summit in Austria's Kitzbühel Alps, perfect for hikers who want a rewarding day out without technical difficulty. Its ridge position between two valleys gives it a broad, open character that makes for a relaxing yet satisfying climb.

Running along a crest between the Wildschönauer Ache and Kelchsauer Ache valleys, the mountain offers sweeping views over rolling alpine pastures and neighboring peaks. In summer the route passes through green alpine meadows dotted with grazing cattle, while the surrounding ridgeline and huts add to the traditional Tyrolean atmosphere. Along the way, walkers are treated to fine views west across the valley toward the Lämpersberg and Großer Beil.

• Descent via the same route, or via the slightly higher Breitteggern back down to Breiteggalm

• The final stretch passes over the neighboring Kleinberger Niederhorn summit, about half an hour before reaching the Wildkarspitze
• Parking is available directly at the Schönangeralm
