Sutikva is a small, rocky hill rising between Solin and Mravince in Dalmatia, a place that has served as a natural lookout over the Jadro river valley for thousands of years. At just 128-129 m above sea level, it offers a surprisingly wide panorama over the surrounding area.
The landscape of Sutikva is rugged and stony, covered with sparse grass and low shrubs typical of the Dalmatian hinterland. From the summit you can see the mouth of the Jadro river 2.5 km away, part of the Brač Channel, and neighboring prehistoric hillforts: Klis and Markezina greda to the north, and Sv. Nofar, Luko and the Vranjic hillfort to the west. The spot is especially beautiful at sunset, when the stony slopes glow warm and the sea shimmers in the distance. A cross stands at the top, serving as a familiar landmark for hikers.
How to reach the summitSutikva is more than a viewpoint - it carries a deep history stretching back to prehistoric times, when the Illyrians built their most important settlement in the Solin basin here, and the hill's name comes from a long-vanished church dedicated to St. Thecla.
