Soska is one of those peaks that doesn't shout for attention — a quiet, forested summit along the main ridge of the Policy Range, where the joy lies in the walk itself rather than a postcard view from the top.

The entire summit is covered in forest, though a relatively young one — this area used to be open pastureland. As grazing became economically unviable, the meadows gradually gave way to woodland, turning Soska from an open clearing into a forested hill. It's a spot for hikers who value silence, the scent of the forest, and the rhythm of walking over sweeping panoramas — pleasant shade in summer, vivid colours in autumn, and a hushed stillness in winter that can leave a stronger impression than many a viewpoint.

• The peak lies along the Main Beskid Trail, which passes through Naroże, Soska and Krupówka — the route connects Jordanów with Kucałowa Przełęcz, taking roughly 5 hours one way and 4 hours 15 minutes on the return
• The trail bypasses the actual summit of Soska on its southern side, so reaching the top requires a short detour from the main route

• The administrative border between Juszczyn (northern slope) and Sidzina (southern slope) runs directly across the summit
• Some hiking guides refer to this peak as Naroże, listing its elevation as 1076 m — worth keeping in mind when planning your route
