Ondrejisko is a quiet, forest-covered peak tucked in the highest part of Slovak Paradise (Slovenský raj) National Park, offering a genuine escape for those who want to explore beyond the region's popular gorge trails.
The summit sits along a ridge running from Duča through Ondrejisko to Borovniak and onward to Stolica, surrounded by dense woodland that keeps the very top shaded and view-free. Nearby cleared spots more than make up for it, though, opening panoramas toward the Volovské vrchy, Revúcka vrchovina, Stolické vrchy, the eastern Low Tatras, the High Tatras, and Branisko. In winter the ridge turns into a hushed, snow-draped world, while in summer the forest canopy offers welcome shade along the approach.
How to reach the summit
Good to know
Even though the summit itself stays hidden among the trees, its position in the highest, southern reaches of Slovak Paradise makes it a rewarding detour for hikers craving a wilder, quieter corner of the park.
