Mosorny Groń (1047 m a.s.l.) is the kind of summit that delivers a big reward for a modest effort. From the top you get sweeping views of Babia Góra, the Żywiec Beskids, the Maków Beskids and — on clear days — the distant Tatra Mountains, all within a 90-minute walk from the village of Zawoja.

The peak sits on a side ridge of the Policy Range in the heart of Zawoja, the largest village in Poland. Its broad, gently rounded summit divides the Mosorny Stream valley from the Jaworzynka stream valley. The terrain is welcoming in every season: lush green pastures and forests in summer, vivid autumn colours in October, and a lively ski area in winter. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly — a refreshing contrast to the busier Beskid hotspots.

• A chairlift at the Mosorny Groń ski and tourism resort on the south-western slope runs from Zawoja Policzne — you can ride up and walk down, or combine it the other way round.
• The summit lies within the administrative boundaries of Zawoja village, Małopolska region.

The name 'Mosorny Groń' has Vlach (Wallachian) origins: 'mosor' refers to a ladle carved from a naturally shaped piece of tree trunk, while 'groń' means a steep riverbank — a quiet reminder of the shepherding culture that shaped these mountains.
