Kráľova skala (1,690 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding summit in the Low Tatras of Slovakia, offering a sweeping 360-degree panorama from its rocky, open crown. Sitting on the southeastern flank of the mighty Kráľova hoľa (1,946 m), it strikes the perfect balance between accessible hiking and genuinely impressive mountain scenery.

The summit lies within the Low Tatras National Park, in the eastern section of the range known as Kráľovohoľské Tatry. The top is covered with low alpine grassland and scattered patches of dwarf pine, which keep the views wide open in every direction. On a clear day you can spot the ridges of the Low Tatras, the Kremnica Hills, Poľana, the Veporské, Stolické and Volovské highlands, the Spiš-Gemer Karst, Branisko, the Levoča Hills, and even the eastern edge of the High Tatras. The nearest villages — Telgárt and Šumiac to the south, and Vernár to the northeast — give the area a wonderfully remote, unhurried feel. The mountain is beautiful in every season: wildflowers in spring, lush green pastures in summer, fiery colours in autumn, and a clean snow-covered stillness in winter.
