Kiczorka (1298 m a.s.l.) is a quietly rewarding summit in the western part of the Polica Range in the Żywiec Beskids — a true ridge junction where side spurs branch off to the north and west, and the main ridge itself changes direction. It's not a peak that chases altitude records, but one that wins you over with forest atmosphere, a curious rock formation and small historical surprises along the trail.

Near the summit you'll find a distinctive rock formation known as the Stork's Nest ('Bocianie Gniazdo'), a viewpoint offering glimpses of the northern slopes of Babia Góra and the Jałowiec Range — though the growing forest has narrowed the panorama over the decades. The upper slopes were once grazed as the 'Śmietanowa' alpine pasture, but farming became unviable and the mountain returned to woodland, giving it a wild, secluded feel. In winter, the ridge trail becomes a peaceful, snow-covered escape.

• The summit lies on the administrative boundary between Zawoja (Sucha district) and Zubrzyca Górna (Nowy Targ district).
• Along the ridge between Kiczorka and Polica, look out for overturned border posts erected by German forces during World War II.
• The same ridge section features scattered clumps of dwarf mountain pine — an unusual sight at this elevation in the Beskids.

The name 'Kiczorka' is relatively recent and was borrowed from a lower summit of the same name (1012 m) on the northern spur; older maps labelled the peak as 'Pięć Kopców' or 'Kopiste', after Austrian border mounds that once marked the frontier with Hungary.
