Hochjoch is a 2520 m peak with two gentle summit humps in the Verwall range, rising above Schruns in Montafon, Austria. Seen from the northeast, near Spullersee, it forms a neat pyramid, while from the west it appears as a broad mountain massif visible even from the Walgau valley.

This is a place with two personalities: in summer it's a hiking paradise dotted with lakes and huts, while in winter it becomes part of the well-known Silvretta Montafon ski area. Near the summit, close to Kreuzjoch, stands the Wormser Hütte, a great base for exploring the surrounding ridges. Don't miss the picturesque Herzsee below Kreuzjoch and the Schwarzsee between Hochjoch and Sennigrat.

• From Wormser Hütte to Hochjoch (2520 m) - about 2½ hours, demanding route with some grade II sections requiring sure footing on rock
• From Wormser Hütte to Kreuzjoch (2395 m) - about ¾ hour, easier option
• From Wormser Hütte to Zamangspitze (2386 m) - about 1¼ hours, sure-footedness required

• The approach to the Hochjoch Klettersteig, a via ferrata rated category C, starts at Schwarzsee and climbs the west face to the summit
• The route includes a 62-metre-long rope bridge near the top, with a total secured length of about 1700 metres
• The area is well connected by lifts: Hochjochbahn from Schruns, Zamangbahn, Kapellbahn from Silbertal, and Grasjochbahn from St. Gallenkirch
• The Wormser Hütte near the summit offers meals and overnight stays

The Kapell area below Hochjoch hosted women's Alpine Ski World Cup races in 1971, 1973 and 1975, bringing the region international fame.
