Havrania skala (1,156 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding summit set on the broad limestone plateau at the heart of Slovak Paradise National Park. It combines the wild character of karst uplands with surprisingly far-reaching views — a hidden gem for hikers exploring this corner of Slovakia.

The peak sits on an extensive plateau in the central part of Slovak Paradise. Its summit is split between dense forest and open rocky outcrops with low vegetation, the latter offering sweeping — if partially framed — panoramas. On a clear day you can pick out the peaks of the Spiš-Gemer Karst and the nearby Volovské vrchy, as well as Branisko, the Levoča Hills, the High Tatras, the eastern Low Tatras with Kráľova hoľa, the Stolické vrchy and the Revúca Highlands. In autumn the beech forests glow with warm colour; in winter a blanket of snow turns the plateau into a serene, almost otherworldly landscape.

The name 'Havrania skala' translates as 'Raven Rock' — a fitting title for this rugged karst summit that watches over the plateau of Slovak Paradise.
