Finkenhübel is a modest, treeless hill straddling the German-Czech border, offering surprisingly open views for its 411 meters. It's an easy escape for anyone craving a short, peaceful walk that crosses an international border along the way.

The hill rises between the valleys of the Mandau and Lausur rivers, part of the gentle basin-and-hill landscape around Großschönau. A triangulation tower crowns the summit and can be spotted from quite a distance, serving as a handy landmark. In winter the surrounding fields lie quiet and frosted, in summer the slopes turn green and inviting, and autumn brings warm colors to the nearby woods — making it a pleasant year-round destination for a relaxed outing.
