Czerniawa Sucha (1062 m a.s.l.) is a rewarding summit in the Jałowiec Range of the Żywiec-Orawa Beskids — a quiet, forested ridge that offers broad southern views and a genuine sense of mountain solitude. If you are looking for a classic Beskid hike away from the crowds, this is your place.

The peak forms a distinct ridge with three summits: the western top (1051 m), the highest central point (1062 m) and the eastern Beskidek (1045 m). The terrain is mostly wooded, which makes the trail pleasantly shaded in summer and strikingly colourful in autumn. The real highlight is the viewpoint on the southern slopes — from the upper edge of the fields belonging to the hamlet of Bystra (part of Koszarawa), you get a sweeping panorama taking in the Policy Range, Babia Góra and Mała Babia Góra, Kolisty Groń with Hala Kamińskiego, Pilsko and Romanka.

• Koszarawa – via Lachów Groń ridge – Czerniawa Sucha – Sucha Pass (982 m) – Jałowiec: a moderate route starting from the valley.
• Żywczaków Path section: Koszarawa Cicha – Czerniawa Sucha – Klekociny Pass – Kolisty Groń – Jałowiec Pass – Cyl – Babia Góra: a longer, more demanding ridge traverse for experienced hikers.

• The administrative boundary between Zawoja (Małopolska region) and Koszarawa (Silesia region) runs directly along the summit ridge.

A curious naming fact: local residents historically called this hill 'Sucha Góra' ('Dry Mountain') and referred to its forest as 'Czerniawa' — it was an Austrian military map that merged the two names into 'Czerniawa Sucha', and that version has stuck ever since.
