Baboš is a modest yet fascinating forested peak in the Slovak High Tatras, tucked away in a side ridge of Široká Jaworzyńska. It's a spot for those who appreciate wild, untouched nature rather than crowded trails.

The massif is built of Lower Jurassic limestones and sandstones, which occasionally break through the surface as rock outcrops, such as Michałczyna Skałka. The whole area is covered with upper montane forest, heavily thinned by windfalls, giving the landscape a raw, wild character. The peak has two summits - the higher southwestern one (1471 m) and the lower northeastern one (about 1455 m), separated from Veľký Baboš by the Babošie sedlo saddle.

• No marked hiking trail leads to Baboš - the peak lies within a protected reserve area.

• The area is under strict nature reserve protection and is completely closed to hiking and mountaineering.
• Off-trail access to the summit is not permitted.
