The Vogtlandschanzen in Mühlleithen near Klingenthal is a fascinating ski jumping complex that has drawn athletes and spectators since the 1930s. Made up of six jumps of different sizes, it is one of the oldest and most snow-reliable ski jumping venues in all of Germany.

The site includes a normal hill HS 85, a medium hill HS 68, and four smaller youth training jumps (K 40, K 25, K 15, K 10). All are matted and used year-round, regardless of snow conditions. Even if you are not a ski jumping fan, the sight of the steep in-run towers is impressive, especially the striking steel in-run tower of the normal hill, designed by a London architecture firm. The surrounding area of Mühlleithen sits in the Vogtland region of the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge), offering quiet forested surroundings, winter skiing opportunities, and pleasant walking trails around the jumping complex in summer.
