Osterstein Castle in Zwickau is a former electoral residence of the Saxon Wettin dynasty with one of the most dramatic histories of any German castle — from medieval stronghold to Renaissance palace to grim prison that once held Karl May, August Bebel, and Rosa Luxemburg.
