The Heimatecke in Waschleithe is a charming miniature park tucked into the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge) of Saxony. Spread across roughly 3,000 square metres, it displays more than 80 models at a scale of 1:40, recreating the region's most iconic buildings. It's a delightful stop for families and anyone curious about local history told in miniature form.

The layout draws inspiration from the traditional Saxon 'Weihnachtsberg' (Christmas mountain) displays and is set into the natural landscape along the Seifenbach stream, complete with rocks and bonsai-like trees. Some models are powered by the flowing water of the stream itself, while others run on electricity, giving the whole scene a lively, almost magical feel. In spring and summer the surrounding greenery and babbling water create a peaceful atmosphere, while autumn colours add a fairy-tale touch to the miniature landscape.
