Jawor Town Hall is one of Lower Silesia's most distinctive buildings, combining a Neo-Renaissance structure with a Gothic tower that survived the fires which repeatedly ravaged the town. It's a wonderful stop for architecture lovers looking to add some history to a day of hiking around the region.

Walking through Jawor's main square, it's impossible to miss the massive 65-metre tower visible from almost every corner of town. On sunny days the rusticated stone base and Baroque helmet with double lantern look especially striking, while in the evening the building takes on a mysterious character as illuminated gargoyles on the gallery cast long shadows. Jawor sits along routes linking many regional castles and historic sites of Lower Silesia, making the town hall a great addition to a day trip around the area.
