The Palace in Mysłakowice is one of the most intriguing residences in the Jelenia Góra Valley — a neo-Gothic building with a tower and crenellations, dating back to the 18th century, that looks more like an English castle than a Silesian manor. Few visitors know that Prussian kings once lived here, and one of its ballrooms was designed to resemble a Mississippi steamboat from the outside.

The palace is surrounded by a 13-hectare landscape park designed by Peter Joseph Lenné, complete with old trees and a pond — perfect for a relaxed walk any time of year. In spring and summer the greenery contrasts beautifully with the pale facade, in autumn the old trees glow with color, and in winter the neo-Gothic silhouette with snow-capped turrets looks straight out of a fairy tale. It is a peaceful, low-key spot that blends a pleasant walk with a touch of history, without the crowds typical of larger regional castles.

• Mysłakowice village centre — on foot, approx. 5–10 minutes, easy route
• Jelenia Góra — by car or bus, approx. 15–20 minutes, then a short walk to the palace
