Standing proudly on Sibiu's grand main square, the Jesuit Church of the Holy Trinity is one of the finest Baroque buildings in Transylvania. Step inside and you'll find a world of quiet grandeur that feels like a complete escape from the busy streets outside.

The church occupies a prime spot on Piața Mare, seamlessly woven into the historic skyline of Sibiu's Old Town. Its detached Baroque bell tower, added in 1738, gives the building a striking silhouette. Inside, the atmosphere is serene — soft light, ornate details, and the magnificent 24-stop organ built by Viennese master Carl Hesse in 1860. Whether you visit in the heat of summer or on a crisp winter afternoon, the interior offers a calm and contemplative space unlike anywhere else in the city.

• The bell tower forms a public passageway between Piața Mare and Piața Mică, following the route of the medieval 'Schlosserloch' ('Locksmith's Hole') — a charming shortcut worth taking.
