The Dichter-Musiker-Maler-Weg is a section of a famous long-distance trail that follows in the footsteps of poets, musicians and painters who once found inspiration in the dramatic landscapes of Saxon Switzerland. This 17.8 km stretch combines rock formations, deep ravines and sweeping viewpoints into one memorable hiking day.

The route leads through the Schwedenlöcher (Swedish Holes) toward the Amselfall waterfall, then continues through the wild Wolfsschlucht (Wolf's Gorge) to the village of Brand. Along the way, hikers pass striking sandstone formations, dense coniferous forest and panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Elbe valley and the surrounding peaks of Saxon Switzerland. The trail is marked with the colour #38a169 and forms part of the larger 91 km, five-stage DMM-Weg long-distance trail.
