The Seewaldhütte is a small, self-catering mountain hut nestled at the foot of the Hochplatte in the heart of the Karwendel range. It's the perfect stop for hikers who appreciate simplicity and a quiet escape into the mountains.
Sitting at 1582 m above sea level, the hut offers lovely views over the surrounding peaks and alpine meadows. In summer, the area comes alive with hikers heading up to the Hochplatte or the Christlumkopf, while in winter the landscape turns into a peaceful, snow-covered retreat. The hut itself has a rustic, no-frills character — a genuine self-supplied mountain shelter that lets you experience the Karwendel at its most authentic.

Practical information
Built and opened in 1959 thanks to the efforts of the Achensee section's members and financial support from the DAV, the Seewaldhütte still retains its original, unpretentious charm.
