The Gründhütte is a charming self-catering mountain hut perched on a sunny clearing beneath the Hirschberg, offering hikers a peaceful retreat away from the crowds. It's a place where simplicity and mountain tradition still shine through.

Surrounded by forest and open meadow, the hut enjoys sweeping views and a quiet, unspoiled atmosphere in every season. In winter, a drag lift makes the hut easily accessible to skiers, while summer brings hikers eager to explore the nearby peaks. Inside, the cozy wood-heated common room and simple dormitory create a warm, rustic base for mountain adventures around the Hirschberg and Leonhardstein.

First leased in 1932 by the Jungmannschaft of Sektion Oberland as a winter ski hut, the Gründhütte has since grown into a year-round retreat, with its terrace and facilities lovingly expanded over the decades.
