Perched at 1793 m on the Kokrsko sedlo saddle, Cojz's Hut at Kokra Saddle is a classic Kamnik-Savinja Alps mountain refuge, framed by the dramatic walls of Kalška gora, Grintovec and Jezerska Kočna. It's a perfect base for hikers heading toward some of the range's most iconic summits.
The saddle marks a natural crossroads: to the east the terrain eases gently down into the Kamniška Bistrica valley, while to the west it drops toward the Kokra valley past the Suhadolnik farmstead. The surrounding rocky ridges and peaks create a wild, dramatic atmosphere in summer, while in winter the area transforms into a quiet, snow-covered high-mountain landscape. Views toward Grintovec are among the most memorable in the whole range.

Practical information
The hut is named after brothers Karel and Žiga Zois, Slovenian scientists and patrons of culture, and its history goes back to 1897, when the first timber building was constructed by a German-Austrian mountaineering society.
