Perched at 1,250 m above sea level in the Lúčanská Malá Fatra mountains, Chata Martinské hole is a welcoming mountain hut open all year round, sitting just below the Krížava peak. Whether you're after a summer ridge walk or a winter ski break, this hut has you covered.

The surroundings offer something special in every season. In summer, wide-open alpine meadows frame sweeping views across the Malá Fatra ridges, while well-marked trails lead through forests and grasslands in every direction. Come winter, the hut sits right next to the Winter Park Martinky ski resort, making it an ideal base for skiers and snowboarders alike. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere makes it equally popular with families and solo hikers.

The hut's story stretches back to 1939, when the original building opened — only to be burned down by German forces during World War II. Rebuilt and reopened in 1949, it has been welcoming mountain visitors ever since.
