Przełączka za Turnią Zwornikową is a modest but intriguing spot on the northern ridge of Cubryna, tucked deep in the High Tatras. It's a place valued mostly by climbers seeking a challenge, though the surrounding scenery itself is worth the effort.

The area around the col is wide and grassy, a pleasant contrast to the rocky towers and gullies around it. To the northwest, the Żleb Szulakiewicza gully drops away, while to the east lies a broad depression branching off from the Cubryński Żleb gully. In summer the grassy patches turn green, while in winter the whole area becomes a demanding, snow-covered alpine terrain suited only for experienced mountaineers. The views are classic rugged Tatra scenery - steep walls, gullies, and jagged ridgelines.

How to reach the viewpoint

• From Dolina za Mnichem via Wielka and Mała Galeria Cubryńska - the easiest route, but very roundabout, requiring good route-finding skills, time depends on fitness, difficulty: demanding
• The shortest route to the col leads directly from the summit of Turnia Zwornikowa, though this is a climbing route rather than a hiking trail

This is the spot where in 1909 Józef Bizoń and Stanisław Szulakiewicz blazed a route through Nadspady and Mnichowy Żleb, and where in December 1925 the first winter ascent was made. For fans of Tatra climbing history, this is a place steeped in tradition.
