Kamin-Klevka Pass, also known as the Rakhiv Pass, is a rewarding stop in the Ukrainian Carpathians where a bumpy mountain road leads to sweeping panoramic views. Sitting at 1024 m above sea level, it connects two mountain worlds and offers a genuine taste of remote Carpathian travel.

The pass lies along the ridge stretching from the Svydovets massif south to the Kuzii massif. The scenery here is wild and open — to the west you can see the Svydovets massif to the north, Mount Apetska to the northwest, and Mount Kobyla to the southwest, while the eastern side reveals the Chornohora massif and the Hutsul Alps. In winter the road becomes impassable for ordinary vehicles, while summer and autumn bring steady local traffic along this historic route.

• Rakhiv — gravel road with partial asphalt and stone paving leading toward the village of Kosivska Poliana, passable for most vehicles in summer, only accessible by high-clearance vehicles in winter
• In winter, vehicles can only reach the summit of Mount Lysa (1100 m), beyond which the road becomes impassable

• On the summit of Mount Lysa stands Roza Vitriv, the highest permanent farm in Ukraine, with a cheese dairy offering tastings of cheese and banosh
• The road was built by the Hungarian army during World War II and remains suitable for bus tours
• In May, more than 20 rare, protected white-flowering ash trees bloom along the road from Rakhiv, protected by the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve

This is the only place in Ukraine where these rare trees grow in such numbers — a visit in May rewards travelers with their remarkable bloom.
