Niżni Cubryński Przechód is a modest, shallow notch tucked into the eastern ridge of Cubryna, known mainly to mountaineers seeking technical climbing challenges. This is not a spot for casual hikers — it's raw, remote and demanding, but it rewards those who reach it with views few ever get to see.

The pass sits at roughly 1835 m, between the summits of Cubryńska Kazalnica and Cubryński Koń. Its most striking feature is the vertical drop where Cubryński Koń falls away toward the saddle, contrasting with the completely unassuming, gentle top of Kazalnica as seen from this side. The surrounding terrain is rugged and rocky, typical of the high alpine sections of the Polish Tatras, with views across neighboring ridges and rock towers. In summer the rocks warm under the sun, and the silence of this stretch of ridge gives a strong sense of isolation from the crowded trails below. In winter, the pass is accessible only to experienced mountaineers due to demanding conditions.

How to reach the viewpoint

• Access only via technical climbing routes, with no marked hiking trails — climbing experience and proper gear required
• Trawers Ratowników — grade I, with one section of grade II
• Droga Vogla — along the eastern pillar of Turnia Zwornikowa, grade V, approximately 4 hours

The name of the pass was introduced by Władysław Cywiński in the 8th volume of the guidebook 'Tatry', making it a relatively recent addition to Tatra nomenclature, even though the notch itself has long been known to climbers.
